Hamas executed 11 of the organization members who were suspicious of cooperating with Israel.
The elimination of the three Hamas members in Rafah by Israel has led to maximum suspicions within the organization. Palestinian media reports that Hamas executed 11 of the organization members this morning, who were suspicious of cooperating with Israel.
The Israeli attempt to kill the Hamas military arm head, Muhammad Deif, and the elimination of three Hamas members in Rafah have led to great confusion within the Hamas elite. This morning, the suspicions reached their climax with the execution of 11 Hamas members – a Palestinian news agency reports.
According to the report, which quotes security sources in Gaza, the 11 activists were suspicious of cooperating with Israel, and were executed yesterday in the passport building in the western part of the city of Gaza.
Yesterday, hours after the three Hamas commanders were eliminated in their hide-out apartment in Rafah by Israel, IDF Spokesperson released a documentation of the operation. An Israeli Air Force senior said that "overnight, between 2-3 am, the air force bombed a house near Rafah in a combined effort of resources which provided precise intelligence which eventually brought to the killing of the three". The source added that IDF "is not familiar with previous attempts to kill those people".
One of the elimination targets, Ra'ad Atar, was the commander in the Gilad Shalit abduction operation and was also one of the people who held him captive. He was also head of the militant group which attempted to abduct Hadar Goldin in the battle in Rafah during Operation Protective Edge.
Atar was the Rafah Battalion commander and over the years he was responsible for a series of deadly attacks, as infiltrating terrorists into Israeli territory.
