During one of the scenes in the movie, lawyers are questioning Mark Zuckerburg’s character and it is mentioned that creating Facebook made him “the biggest thing on a campus that included nineteen Nobel Laureates, fifteen Pulitzer Prize winners, two future Olympians, and a movie star.” A lawyer then asks who the movie star was, to which the lawyer responds, “Does it matter?”
Ever wondered who it was they were talking about? The screenwriters of the movie tried to make it as authentic as possible. Besides consulting multiple Harvard students from the time, they also enlisted Natalie Portman to their ranks to give insider information about the proceedings at Harvard during her time there from 1999 to 2003.
Portman actually contacted screenwriter Aaron Sorkin asking him to come over for dinner so she could tell him some stories. Sorkin said he accepted right away and that she was very helpful. In return, he briefly mentioned her in the movie, even though it wasn’t directly!
