Syrian bride crosses Israeli border to marry Israeli Druze
United Nations peace-keeping forces accompany the couple and their friends and family across UN buffer zone into Israel.
Samar Salman al-Khayal, a 26-year-old Syrian bride, crossed on Wednesday morning the Syrian-Israeli checkpoint at al-Quneitra to marry her fiance Nabih Farhat, an Israeli Druze who lives in the Golan Heights.
Khayal had lived in Syria all her life, and was allowed to cross over into Israel to get married and live with Farhat, who has been waiting for several years to receive approval for his fiance's immigration for the neighboring country.

United Nations peace-keeping forces and the Red Cross accompanied the couple and their friends and family across the UN buffer zone into Israel.
The couple plan to live in the village of Buqata in the Golan Heights.
