The daughter of '60s folk-rock icon Donovan and a non-famous American Jewess, Ione Skye defines "object of affections" to any of us who grew up watching Say Anything. When John Cusack holds his boombox over his head blasting "In Your Eyes," he is doing his best to woo Skye's character, Diane Court. Since the '80s, Skye has resurfaced as she has seen fit, as a wife to Beastie boy Adam "Ad Rock" Horovitz, a girlfriend to with Red Hot Chili Pepper Anthony Kiedis, in a Wayne's World movie cameo role, a sex-crazed fundie mom on Arrested Development and the like. Her most memorable acting gig of the '90s, however, is undoubtedly from the Four Rooms sketch "The Missing Ingredient," in which Skye, as a kinky witch, seduces Ted the Bellhop in order to complete her spell.
