Known for: Getting killed in Mystic River, killing us with her music career.
A shayne punim like Emmy Rossum's inspires a pretty deep well of natural goodwill among men with eyes, but the sexy starlet seems fairly hell-bent on squandering it. The Manhattan-bred, silver-spoon Jewish beauty, an alumna of the Metropolitan Opera Children's Chorus, gained considerable buzz for a small role in Mystic River and a major one in Phantom of the Opera, then seemingly acquired a pronounced taste for good old-fashioned dreck: junk science disaster movie The Day After Tomorrow, unnecessary remake Poseidon, and absolutely unlistenable adult contemporary pop vanity album Inside Out. But then again, she's slated to appear as Bulma in the similarly unnecessary, yet oddly fascinating big-screen adaptation of the goofy anime Dragonball Z, so maybe she'll win back some cred. Lord knows we wouldn't mind seeing more of her - she just has to promise not to sing. Ever.
