You are also contributing to the ensurance of Israel 's continuity as well as to the prosperity of Israel 's society and culture. By offering education assistance to less privilaged soldiers, we are making Israel 's greatest asset available to all members of Israeli society, thereby furthering the IDF's main purpose: the strengthening of Israel 's defense. LIBI funds also help soldiers complete their education, gain self-esteem and become productive members of the army and Israel's society! New olim are granted special assistance, including tutoring in the areas of Hebrew language, history and heritage, helping them successfully integrate into their new lives. Funds coming from LIBI also contribute to the improvement of greatly needed medical resources and facilities. These efforts have already saved the lives of many soldiers fighting Israel's front lines. The IDF is more than just an army. It's a microcosm of Israeli society.
