Israeli celebrity, Tal Berkovich is a globally recognized actress, model and FHM Girl. Tal showed off her impressive dance moves on, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and interviewed many A-Lister celebrities on the hit show, ‘Paparazzi.’  With such talent and poise, Tal is in high demand within the industry. She has graced many of the world’s most popular magazines like FHM and Playboy. She is also the face of trendy brands including, ‘LA Fitness,’ ‘Harrods Cosmetics’ and ‘Coca-Cola.’

Tal recently reached beyond her capabilities in modeling and starred in Richard Curtis’, ‘The Boat That rocked’ and Walt Disney’s ‘The Prince of Persia,’ opposite Jake Gyllenhall. Her latest motion picture, ‘Soulmate’ is about to make its debut in Canne.


What does the word ‘sexy’ mean to you in such a media-driven world where the word can easily be manipulated into something it is not?

Tal Berkovich is a globally recognized actressSexy for me is being confident with who you are. When a woman has confidence she oozes sex appeal.

Do you have a background in dance – as you were apart of, ‘Strictly Come Dancing?’

Yes, I danced in the Israeli National Ballet from the age of 16-20. It helped me a lot in the show, but my background caused conflict with the other contestants who felt I had an unfair advantage.

What is the story line behind your recent project, ‘Soulmate?’

It’s a love story between two people, that come from different backgrounds. I play a Jewish girl who meets a Pakistani Muslim guy in England. The story about over coming the obstacles of  different religions and nationalities.

How did you make your way into the business of acting and modeling?

At the age of 20 I flew to Milan looking for a model agency. I didn’t have experience or even pictures at that time, but luckily a booker of one of the biggest agencies in Milan decided to give me a chance, he said I was “small, but special”.

Thank you for the compliment. I would say always be true to yourself, and don’t buy into the illusion that the advertising in the Fashion World shows, as it’s all photoshopped.  Finally, don’t forget where you come from.

What is it like to be the face of brands such as, ‘LA Fitness,’ ‘Harrods Cosmetics’ and ‘Coca-Cola?’

I feel blessed to have been chosen as the face of such prestigious brands. 

What was your experience like shooting the cover of ‘FHM Magazine?’

I really enjoyed working with the magazine, I think they’re doing a great job and I feel lucky having been given that opportunity.

What are your next/upcoming project(s)?

Apart from the film, ‘Soulmate,’ I’m currently the face of ‘Expose’, Lee Cooper’s lingerie range. I’m about to fly to LA to meet with some model and acting agencies.

What did you learn about the ‘A-List’ celebrities you interviewed for the show, ‘Paparazzi?’ Anything we wouldn’t expect?

I was surprised to find out that a lot of well known actors are actually quite insecure. 

Generally, what is your personal favorite beauty regime?

As a model my beauty regime is very strict, I’m a big fan of Shu Uemura products, I’m using their oil cleanser day and night, day cream, night cream, serum, eye cream- the whole range! For my hair I use Kerastase mask and shampoo!

Which brand would you absolutely love to model for/be the face of?

My dream is to star in a L’Oreal campaign, I love their style.

What was your experience like to work opposite Jake Gyllenhall in the film, ‘Prince Of Persia?’

I really enjoyed working with him, he’s a really sweet guy. It was a great experience!

Where is your most favorite place in the world to travel?

My favourite country is Israel, I love spending time there on the beach with my friends and family. I love LA for its energy and healthy lifestyle. In Europe, Paris is perfect for romantic vacations and Tuscany is great for it’s culinary experience.

Where do you find your daily dose of inspiration?

I read a lot of books for my inspiration; currently I’m reading  ‘Aleph’ by Paulo Coelho.
