Supermodel Bar Refaeli may be as tasty an Israeli export as the Jaffa orange, but despite being the first Israeli to grace the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, the DiCaprio-boffing bikini girl is widely disliked in the Homeland. Her PR problems began when she shirked her mandatory military service - a major transgression in the eyes of most Israelis - by sham-marrying a family friend whom she quickly divorced. She explained herself to a major Israeli daily by simply saying, "Why is it good to die for our country? Isn't it better to live in New York?" Bringing her sheygetz boyfriend Leo on a trip back home didn't help her image much either. But then again, every time we see a picture of Bar prancing about in some scrap of netting optimistically called a swimsuit, we see at least two good reasons to forgive her.
